B'nai B'rith
International started an ambitious
project in Peru, in partnership with
the Inca University that also
honors Diego. This ambitious project
promotes volunteering as an instrument
to fight poverty and help kids.
Recently, Lili Cantor, a B'nai
B'rith of Peru board member, was named
as part of the committee working on this
endeavor. This project is expected to
have a national impact throughout Peru.
The Garcilaso de la Vega Inca University
was the initiator of this project which
was named after David Diego Ladowski, a
young Israeli diplomat who died a year
ago at the Hebrew University of
Jerusalem, when terrorists planted a
bomb at the cafeteria.
David Diego was just days away from
traveling to Peru to assume his position
as Second Secretary, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Israel in
Lima.
